our self-esteem. During my younger years I remember my Mom would always
encourage me in joining dance contests and presentations in our school. That’s
why even until now dancing has always been my outlet for distressing. One of
the activities that has a big impact on who I am today is my cosplay venture or
also known as costume play. I am part of a cosplay organization in butuan known
as Shin kai shin ‘n otaku where the organization would help us find or showcase
our talents in the different field such as costume making, dancing, singing,
skits, make-up, dubbing and many more. As the eldest I have also influenced my
siblings, like how my younger sister Hazel is also a member of the said
organization, and how my brother have a thing in dubbing movies, and creating
movie games. My family has been my inspiration why I did pursue my teaching
career, especially my brother. My brother is a special child where in his needs
is much more than a special kid, he has autism. I grew up hearing whispers of
the people around us saying that my brother is weird, that’s why I did pursue
this field. Because someday I want to be that someone who will educate this
people that special children as just like normal people who has emotions and
gets hurt with what other people say or thinks of them.
